Windows Mobility Center (WMC) is a tool that places together several important
settings in a window such as audio setting, screen brightness, battery and
power scheme, and also wireless network.
WMC by default is enabled on laptops to help conserve battery power easier and
quicker, but is not activated on a desktop computer. I have been using WMC to
switch power plans quickly on my PC to match the processor power needed for
the current task at the time; High Performance for gaming,
Balanced for web browsing or doing tasks, and Power Saver when
watching videos or just idling.
