This tutorial for setting up auto translation for Youtube Live Chat is only
for Chrome and Microsoft Edge, as these 2 web browsers have built in
translation function, and only on laptop/desktop computer.
There is no download or installation of app or extension needed. However the
translation can only translate a selected language. Also, doing this is
only recommended on small channels with slow chat flow as the
translation function cannot keep up at fast chat.
Go to Youtube live video and click on the 3 dots above the chat window. Click
on Popout Chat to make the chat window detach and be on its own
separate window. This is to allow the built in translator to only translate
the chat window.
Anywhere in the chat window, right-click and select 'Translate to English' as shown in the picture below.
For Edge browser, simply follow the same steps.
