Xtreme Download Manager (XDM) is a free powerful open-source download
accelerator that functions similar to Internet Download Manager. The download
speed of XDM is on par with IDM from my experience making it my second
download manager on this computer.
Installation of XDM is straightforwad however after installing, a small addon
is needed to install an extension for your preferred web browser. This
extension is for browser monitoring to capture supported downloadable
contents.
To install this extension, navigate to Tools >
Browser Monitoring
> Choose your preferred browser(s).
To use XDM, make sure Browser Monitoring (bottom right) is turned on after
installing the addon.
